The GameCube BroadBand modem and PSO snapshots
You may or may not know this but there is a way to take snapshots in PSO by using a controler on the fourth controler port. The snapshot always gets saved to the memory card in slot b. Well anyways the main thing I want to talk about is that that is two ways, that I know of, to get it from your memory card to your computer (PC, Mac and Linux) by using http://pso.donut.dhs.org/. You will need to set up your GameCube and you can use both modem adaptors for this. The instructions can be found here. Needs an internet connection.
There is another way, PSO Proxy. Basically it is a program that lets you transfer the snapshot from your memory card to your pc when they are networked together. ( Highly recomemded is the BBA modem, a Network Interface Card (NIC) on your computer, a crossover cable or a router with some CAT 5 cables.) Basically you dont need an internet connection, But is expensive in the short run. The instructions and download can be found here.
The Picture quallity is better on PSO Proxy compared to Pso Donut. Here is some examples of Donut: 1, 2, 3, and here is some from Proxy: 1, 2. I might post more pics (maybe I should compare the same pics).
